Mike is a frequent speaker on topics of issues important to those in the appellate community. Given recent work he has performed advancing the State Bar of Texas Appellate Section's pro bono initiatives, some of his most recent speeches and publications have addressed expanding access to appellate legal services to those who could not otherwise afford such services:

For the past three years, Mike has also been named a speaker in connection with the State Bar's Advanced Civil Appellate Section's CLE programs on the topic of how to prepare for the Texas Board of Legal Specialization Examination in Civil Appellate Law.
Mike also frequently speak and writes on matters involving the dockets of the Supreme Court of Texas and the Third Court of Appeals in Austin, Texas. Recent presentations include "The Reversal Docket," an analysis of cases decided by the Third Court of Appeals, and "Analysis of the Supreme Court's 2011-2012 Docket," providing an analysis of a wide variety of factors from cases decided by the court.
